Synergy is recruiting: Arts Training and Progression Manager

Synergy is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its education team to manage and develop Synergy Studio (funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund), an innovative programme which offers prisoners and ex-prisoners practical theatre-based training, bespoke courses with partnering arts organisations, work experience and progression routes into further education and employment.

Working closely with the Education Manager, the Arts Training and Progression Manager will have excellent project management skills, knowledge of formal and informal education including accreditation and the ability to develop relationships with arts and educational organisations and employers.  The postholder will be responsible for induction, support, mentoring and exit strategy for project beneficiaries.  Candidates will ideally have 5 years’ experience in arts education, education or resettlement and a passion for increasing arts, education and employment engagement for disadvantaged people.

  • Contract: Fixed term 5 year contract with a view to extension, subject to funding. Subject to a three-month probationary period
  • Salary: £32,000
  • Holiday: 25 days
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • The post will be offered subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
