June 2026

Small Charities Week

This year, Synergy have been selected for The Big Give’s Small Charities Week, which runs from 22-29 June.

Our Criminal Justice System (CJS) includes many of society’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Through theatre and film, we help those in or at risk of entering the CJS. We build bridges from prison to social reintegration, break cycles of offending and prevent young people taking that path.

  • Why give? – Your donation will be doubled. From 22 – 29 June 2026, the price of a coffee (£5) instantly turns into £10 to help us keep unlocking creativity and changing lives.
  • When to give? – From midday on Monday 22 June until 5 PM on Monday 29 June.

Synergy is a small charity with big impact:
Real change happens closest to the community. For Synergy, it happens inside prisons, in schools and pupil referral units, during workshops, and in theatres. It’s not about our size, but about the trust, relevance, and deep connection we build. We hold communities together, creating belonging where it’s fragile, opportunity where it’s scarce, and hope when it’s needed most. For the vulnerable individuals navigating the justice system who rely on us, Synergy may be small in size, but with a 97% non-reoffending rate, we are BIG in impact.

When small charities thrive, communities thrive:

For individuals trying to rebuild their lives after prison, small charities aren’t just organisations; they’re absolute lifelines. 80% of people say small charities are vital to society and make a real difference. As one of workshop participant put it: ‘I’m engaging my brain in positive ways, and creative projects like this make me feel safe and seen.’ Every single pound matched during Small Charities Week means more lives transformed. Your support will make double the difference.
