Shifting Point

This pilot radio project gathered prisoners' true stories in which their viewpoints had been changed or challenged, recorded as monologues and short dramas. The stories were culturally diverse and ranged from the tragic to the farcical.

The project involved ten female prisoners from HMP Downview and fifteen male prisoners from HMP Wandsworth working part-time over a two-month period on the material. This was edited into an hour-long programme with the male and female stories interspersed.

Shifting Point was broadcast on Resonance FM in September 2005 and included commentary from the director, sound technician and an ex-prisoner.
