Synergy Theatre Project, A Memory of Two Mondays

A Memory of Two Mondays
Set in a car parts warehouse in 1930's Brooklyn, Arthur Miller's one-act play looks at the lives of workers trapped in an endless, monotonous environment and their need for hope in order to survive it. A Memory of Two Mondays highlights the need for mutual support in a community which has no choice but to be there.
The cast and crew consisted of one ex-prisoner and thirteen prisoners from HMP Latchmere House. In the lead up to performances, one of the prisoners was released and attended the dress rehearsal on his first day out.
The production was performed during October 2001 at HMP Latchmere House, Nescot College, Roehampton University and The Cockpit Theatre.
"It turned a disparate group of people into a unit working towards a goal, helping each other, recognising our weaknesses and our strengths."
